Hector is one of the most respected writers in the Mexican content business. He’s been responsible for the creative duties of many iconic brands including: VW, Mattel, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Gamesa, Mercedes-Benz, Banamex, Telcel, BMW, FedEx, Campbell’s, ESPN, Aspirin, Mini, Gerber, Maggi, Alka-Seltzer, Nescafé, Bimbo and Jeep among others. He’s won awards at every major show, including seven Grand Prix at the most prestigious show in his country: Círculo de Oro.
Hector was copywriter at DDB Needham in Mexico City from 1990-1993. His work got him promoted to Associate Creative Director in only 3 years. He was Group Creative Director at Ogilvy&Mather in Mexico City from 1993-1994. He was VP/Chief Creative Officer at BBDO Mexico in Mexico City from 1994-2009. He was Co-CEO México/CCO Latam, Publicis in Mexico City from 2010-2016. Publicis was named Agency of the Year at the EFFIE Awards in 2012 and 2013, for the second year in a row, and Agency of the Year at the Circulo Creativo de México in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
His work has received more than five hundred awards over the past 20 years: Cannes, One Show, DandAD, New York Festivals, London International Awards, Cresta, Clio, FAB, Ojo de Iberoamerica, El Sol, DandAD, Wave, Mobius, FIAP, Epica, Circulo Creativo Mexicano and Effies.
