CMC Announces Hispanicad CAPE Award Winners
Alma, Richards/Lerma and Marca Take Top Account Planning Honors

 

Fairfax, Va. (June 3, 2019) The Culture Marketing Council: The Voice of Hispanic Marketing (CMC) announced the Culture Account Planning Excellence (CAPE) award winners, in partnership with HispanicAd.com with Alma, Richards/Lerma and Marca earning accolades. The award-winning campaigns will be recognized during a panel session honoring the CAPE winners on Tuesday, June 11 at the CMC’s Annual Summit.

Judged by a panel of multicultural marketing experts, the prestigious awards recognize the strategic planning and insights that are the bedrock of any multicultural campaign. “This is the only award of its kind to honor account planners with cultural expertise, and we are honored to work with the CMC to keep inspiring new generations of CAPE winners,” said HispanicAd.com CEO Gene Bryan.

Three Gold awards were given out by the CAPE jury this year: Alma took two Gold awards for its “Shine Your Way” campaign for Sol in the “Mainstream Impact Driven by Cultural Insight” category, honoring campaigns whose Latino-based insight led to mainstream marketing impact of results, and for its Pro Bono gun reform campaign for Change the Ref. Richards/Lerma also won Gold for its Pro Bono work with the Catholic Diocese of Dallas.

  • In the “Best Cultural Insight” category, Alma took home the Silver for its work on McDonald’s QSR campaign, and Marca won Bronze for its Pay-TV campaign for DishLATINO
  • Richards/Lerma took the Silver in the “Mainstream Impact Driven by Cultural Insight” category for its Clamato campaign for Keurig Dr. Pepper, and Alma won Bronze for its QSR work with McDonald’s.
  • For the category “Culture Impact on Innovation,” honoring campaigns whose culture-based insight led to an innovation in product, service or brand offering, Richards/Lerma took the Silver for its work on the WATZ campaign for Barcel USA.
  • Alma took the Bronze for its Pro Bono pet shelter campaign for Miami Dade Animal Services.
